Literacy Tip
¡Hola! Yo soy Mary. Esta canción es divertida. Anime a su niño a seguir elaborando este cuento. ¿Qué sucederá si más elefantes deciden columpiarse?
Transcript
Un elefante se columpiaban,
En una telaraña,
Como vio, resistió,
Fue a llamar a otro elefante.
Dos elefantes, se columpiaban,
Sobre la tela de una araña,
Como veían, que resistía,
Fueron a llamar a tres elefantes

This are delightful. The tags are handy and the transcripts/tips very helpful. The presenters are also good – in both languages.
In all the Spanish tapes since everything is in Spanish, why is is the clel of the website said in English? E in Spanish is pronounced as a long a in English.
Saroj,
I’m the performer in this video, and while I’m not sure why the choice was made to say the website name in English, I can speculate that it may be because clel.org is an English-language website. I didn’t record this tagline, though, and it does sound like she starts saying the website address in Spanish and ends in English. Sorry we didn’t catch that. Hopefully we’ll be able to fix it in the future. I am glad that the website address is also shown on screen during the tagline – so there’s another way for folks to find out about it.
Thanks for your feedback!
Dear Mary,
Denise Brooks from Louisville just passed this website along to me; it is just what I have been looking for to help reinforce our library in Guatemala! It’s great to see you in person, and thank you for the efforts of this site. Will you be adding more?
Warm regards,
Katie
We would love to add more rhymes, but need another grant to cover some of the basic costs. We are not short of wonderful ideas and rhymes to share with the great reasons why these work.
